All of these fursuits, minus >>98 , >>944 , and >>1052 , are average/below average.
I highly suspect people are just posting pics of themselves, thinking too highly of themselves or just want feedback. Seriously, none of the other fursuits in this thread are worth mentioning.

If someone were able to actually make one using a material that resembled actual fur from skin, then it would probably look more realistic. Of course, these are just fans we're talking about, not Rick Baker. Still, >>944 is fantastically well made.

Having never worn a fursuit before, I have a question about them. Silly as this may sound, what do you do if you have to use the rest room? I mean, I can see maybe putting in a zipper, but what about some of the ones where your hands aren't even totally usable? I'm just curious.

I can tell you by experience, I was in a fursuit for a whole day in a small shopping center, for a cosplay event with about 200 peoples, 3/4 been manga fan girl asking me for hugs, because they cannot resist my soft white fur (Princess Mononokee brother wolf).
I drank lots of water, the only thing I did in the restroom. I suppose that I sweated mostly all water from my body.

I believe fursuits can be made less tacky/creepy if they were a bit more form fitting. All I'm seeing here is saggy, post-liposuction skin. Clean it up.

I saw these two >>2642 at FC this year, they were wonderful suits. As to the comment about baggy vs. form-fitting, I imagine slightly baggy suits are better for dissipating heat, when it comes to full-body suits. My own, Scott Sierra the jaguar, uses a very lightweight head made from heat-bent Lexan, containing a fan which pulls air in all over the head, an an openable, moving jaw to let me speak. The rest of the suit consists of paws, with arm fur, a tail, and street clothes.
Some really great ones here. Here's my favorite suit so far... Morganna Lynx. Anyone have any photos of the Jack Salem head that's out there? I used to have a photo of it, but I lost that.

You can get stretch fur, its NFT, New Fiber Technology or New Fur Technology, but its about 10 times as expensive as regular non-stretch fur. If you hear of a fursuit costing over $5,000, it probably uses NFT. There are several such suits out there.
Lets see, buy a car or a fursuit....car or fursuit....I can get a clunker, better spend $6,000 on that fursuit.

This is a picture of Legend from Further Confusion 2000. At that time, it was a partial suit from the waist up with street clothes below.
The wings are articulated by a remote controlled mechanism and extend to about 15 feet. They are airbrushed and photo realistic.
Legend the Griffin Bard has since made the lower or lion part of the fursuit, but I cant find a picture of it right now.

Dar Rushk appears to be a hybrid creature of a lion crossed with a dragon or bat.

Turcomund is an example of thinking out of the box. He has the best of all worlds--fur, flesh and character clothing, note the leather pants.

I believe Aesop is an Arcepterox (spelling?), a dinosaur like avian.
This suit is notable for innovative use of materials and character design. I am not sure what the greenish body is made from, it does not appear to be fur but rather some kind of vinyl or pleather material. The reddish ruff under the chin appears to be made from fur. I tried to look for Aesop in the fursuit database where the materials can be listed but I did not find it there. Note that there are only five different colors used in the costume, but it really looks interesting and striking as a work of art that brings a character to life.

You must have a preconceived notion of perfection because you wouldn't be so quick to judge the building talents of some of these suiters.

I have included a character sheet for a blaze griffin (gryphon) fursuit for content.
So, you want to know about costumes or fursuits (scalesuits, feathersuits, chitinsuits) in furrydom. There are several kinds or styles of fursuit, from ears and tails with street clothes to expensive and elaborate full body suits. I wanted to make a long exposition, but I would invariably leave someone out, so....
I suggest going to the fursuit database and looking the costumes over.

Note that in the menu selections on the left side of the web page, there are options to browse the fursuits and options to search for a specific fursuit, search for a specific fursuiter and search for a specific builder of fursuits.
Suits range in price from ears and tails for 60 US Dollars up to 6000, yes six thousand or even more, US Dollars for a ultra custom, ultra realistic full body fursuit-- just have a body guard dressed as a german shepherd or doberman, hehehe (joke).
What may not be shown in the fursuit database are prosthetics, like those from NorthFur:

There are a few adequate commercial avian costumes out there. Commercial suits are usually of "mascot quality" meaning they have oversized heads and a simple color scheme so they can be easily seen at sporting events in stadiums and outdoors.
Facemakers makes a really good eagle costume, the 810S, as seen in the enclosed picture. It is one of the better quality eagle costumes commercially available. Note the pricing, too, well over $2,000 US dollars.
