Option to mark incorrect images?

Hey just a halfway thought.  But since so many people like to just post a msg because e-mail is a tad bit long, what if there was an option to just click a button/link/whatever.  And tell any mods that look at a special list that this particular picture is in the wrong place..is on DNP..etc?  Maybe even make a way to put down why you marked it.

This way people could have the speed of not e-mailing.  And it wouldn't clog up a thread.

Not sure how doable this would be..but I figure it might be a halfway decent idea.

That's what the bell is for. The only downside is that you can't include a text message with it.

I'm sure that it's obvious by looking as to what the offence is.  If it's DNP, they can figure it out.  If it breaks one of the (many) rules, I'm sure Nadia can pick it out right off the bat.

The bell thingy is to give viewers the ability to tell the mods that something is wrong here.  Which is good, because patrolling the boards repeatedly to find ONE infraction is a pain.  A few DNP pics have stayed on the site for weeks, if not months, because it was buried inside large pic floods; despite ppl in the thread saying (repeatedly) that it's DNP.

If they (the mods) feel like they need more features on the report button, I'm sure they can add it :).  'Til then, enjoy the fact that this is the only chan board (that I know of) with a report AND a quick respond feature.

i'm currently considering it, given the fact that sometimes we get reports on pics that make me go: "wtf O_o" and confuse me to hell, because there seems nothing to be wrong with the pic :P

Have a check box system for comment problems and of course an "other" comment box for those problems that come out of left field...

I admittedly reported a lot of things in /f/ yesterday, for the following reasons:

1. Some pics were DNP
2. Some pics were /m/, /s/, /h/, or /a/ material
3. Some pics were screenshots from video games and were not anthro
4. Some posts violated the "do not post legal discussions on the image boards" rule

I realize that it was up to be a test board, but I assumed that the rules were still in place, as usual. And after all, the report system needed to be tested, as well.

I'd go over this with you in IRC, but Rizon.net seems to down and has been since I went to bed last night and still is as of five minutes ago. Though, since I'm a smart little fuzzbutt that sees the wisdom in posting anon, I won't have to worry about people getting pissy because "oh noes, people actually ruin our fun by reporting things," when posting it on here.

Just thought I'd let you know. I'm honestly extremely strict in my own views of organization and what I think does and does not belong.

We'll talk more later.

Alright, i upgraded the report code a bit, it now opens a window that asks you to enter a number from 0-6 and lists shortly to which rule the number corresponds, 0 is for "will post in thread what the problem is".

Oh so THATS what the bells are for...I didn't know what they did so never touched em O.O heh.

Oh well its nice to know such a system is in place then!

I will as part of the rules as I am working with them.

Please note the strikethroughs are personal notes to myself and will be removed when the site goes live.

Just wondering... has there been anyone (that you've noticed) that's just been a real bugger and abused the report system?

If so, do you have a way of "buggering" back? :p

If not, well... doesn't hurt to be prepared.

Consitering what just happend... think you can put that bell thingy on /dis/ posts?

I've been wondering about that since it went into effect, but I have a feeling it might not be possible.

done :)

Apparently it's possible, but for some reason the reporting system still has it's bugs.  I clicked on the bell on one of my posts (why get someone else in trouble for no good reason :P) and... when I clicked cancel, it got counted as a report anyway... odd

At lest new reports are actually getting registered now.

Damn it, even clicking the X button gets counted as a report!

I just tested it on >>19 if you're wondering Xenofur

that means your browser is weird and returns a 0 when you hit cancel or you have the wrong js cached.

Well, crap... does anyone else using Firefox get the same effect?
