Hello :-)

My favored method of browsing Fchan is to go through pages containing images posted since my last visit, middle click to "open in background page" on any thumbnails I wanna take a closer look at and look at 'em after I've finished browsing.  Sometimes I'll get one like this image here

http://fchan.hentaiplanet.net/f/src/1135112256643_badlittleevee_.jpg

That'll only be partially loaded and any try at reloading, oening in a new window or even another browser gets http://fchan.hentaiplanet.net  Why does Fchan do this?  Anyone else have the same problem?

FChan dosen't seem to have recovered fully.
Before the crash, Firefox and I would go around, looking at the images, getting full-size ones that look interesting blah blah blah. Now, I can't even get new windows open with out FF (and usually the whole PC) locking up. Apart from the top banner and the side bar the rest of the page is black. I tried disabling the Norton Internet Sercurity Firewall, but that only made the locking up come faster. IE dosen't work either. It dosen't lock up, but I still can't get any images without it going back to the homepage. I've taken the mods advice (shutting down Firewall and try using IE) but I'm still unable to view FChan.

I didn't stick it in my bookmarks for no reason. Please get it fixed. Other image boards using the same layout (onechan etc) still work normally, but they haven't had hardware failure.

So basicly, it's the same/ a bit worse than what Cloudchaser Benjamin Shaconage has said.

When fixes for these issues are discovered, post them so that people can troubleshoot.

same thing as i said before time and time again:
switch off firewall (not because i need to cicumvent you security, but because many firewalls are completely retarded and mess with things they should NEVER touch), that means: KILL THE PROCESS, not just switching some option, since that means: IT'S STILL RUNNING
clear your browser's caches, completely, check the cache directory to make sure it's empty, install a completely new instance of a browser to be 100% sure
if you follow these instructions EXACTLY and it doesn't work then either you didn't follow them exactly, or your router is retarded or your ISP is retarded.

I've never had problems with this (or any other) place with Linux based software firewalls or router (hardware) firewalls. Is this a Windows thing?

oh yes, i forgot, i'm not going to answer further questions here on the boards, since im available in real-time in irc.
all i'm going to post here are solutions that i have found working, nothing more.
