Fchan Firefox Solution

1 Report	Xaro at 29 Dec 2005: 07:37 Ok, I'm back just 1 day after posting for help. If you have Firefox and Fchan will not disp[lay the thumbnails and when you click on one it just reloads the main page, do this. 1. Compleately uninstall Firefox. 2. Re-Install Firefox, a newer version if available ;-) 3. Enjoy as you bookmarks are still there and Fchan is back for your pleasure! Peace out. Xaro
2 Report	at 29 Dec 2005: 09:51 The only time when I noticed that none of the pics were loading, I went to IRC to ask if Fchan was acting weird. But before I said anything, I thought about checking one small setting before crying for help. (or clearing the cache, or re-installing, etc etc) Turns out, that I accidentally told Firefox to BLOCKED all incoming images from this site! Probably do to mis-clicking on the right-click menu.

4 Report	at 30 Dec 2005: 22:27 Stuff like that happens to everyone, even to tech ppl from what I hear. But I'm sure a tech help person can get so sick of hearing about the same (simple) problem over and over again that they'd just want to SHOOT someone for "being such an idiot." I can't blame them too much for feeling that way. Some people are so paranoid to even think for themselves when it comes to running a computer that it's probably like dealing with a 5 year-old half the time :/... usualy over the phone!
5 Report	at 31 Dec 2005: 13:39 Been having this problem with firefox for awhile, tried uninstall and re-install (1.0.7), made sure that there was no exceptions or blocks, but still having the same problems. Anything else we can do to fix this?

7 Report	at 31 Dec 2005: 22:04 Still no luck even with 1.5, thumbnails not showing up, and clicking the missing picture still brings up the main page.
8 Report	at 2 Jan 2006: 03:17 This might be a shot in the dark, but you did try checking to see if you accidentally blocked the pics that come from this site right? One way you can tell if that's the case is to see if banners do not show up as well. If there isn't any, then right click on where a picture should be at, and if you see a checkmark on "Block images from fchan.hentaiplanet.net" then click it again to UNcheck it. Then reload the page and it should be working.
9 Report	at 4 Jan 2006: 09:46 I'm getting this same problem with Opera. I can't see any images and when I click on one to bring up a new page, it just goes to the main menu. Im thinking that his might not be a specific browser problem because it even does it in Internet Explorer AND Firefox.

11 Report	at 10 Apr 2008: 15:36 The problem I've been having is that it isn't just the images that aren't showing. I can see the links and the top of the pages, but there is no text. No images, no text. Just links and line breaks. And it doesn't appear to be consistent; I didn't have any trouble in /f/ or /c/, but half the threads /s/ and everything in /toon/ was like this. Anyone know what's up with that?

13 Report	at 13 Apr 2008: 14:45 Um...I use the latest version of FireFox? That's all I know about my 'net set up. I've checked back and the problem is still only occurring in /toon/, none of the other boards.
