Screen Shots: Spam or Art?

I was wondering if any of the mods could comment... Are screen shots considered viable art for the boards? Or are they considered spam? And I'm including TV captures, video game captures, and MMORPG (like Second Life) captures...

Such thing are posted on /c/ all the time.  In fact... there's currently two topics for them.  One for furries in video games, one for furries in anime.

So while I'm not a mod, I can confirm that they aren't considered spam.

In that case, I can understand. What I'm talking about is when the topic is not specifically for screen grabs.

in my humble opinion, the quality of captured image counts. lame cheep jokes are spam but then who is to decide what jokes are lame? Mods are letting us post all furry images that are not breaking rules and are not on dnp and there is no direct rule against screenshots. BUT there is a part "(b)Art from commercially available sources (CD collections, comics, etc.) and unauthorized edits of pre-existing pictures are off-limits as well." and screenshots are actually against that rule. Ofcourse it's up to mods to decide.

1. the copyright of a screenshot belongs to the one who has taken it.
2. they're ok on the boards.

As long as said screen shot isn't of DNP or Trademarked material.
