If any of you watched the Daily Show you would know this. But on the website of ready.gov/kids they are using mountain lion furries to teach kids about what to do in disasters. Do I smell a new source of yiff =3

First they're against animal human hybrids, then they're using them to teach kids about disaster safety. Make up your mind, government, damn!

Not bad characters at all. They're something someone in the fandom could totally do. Style actually kinda reminds me of someone..

Eh, it's not like furries invented fursuits. There were people dressing as Smokey the Bear and other mascots for the sheer purpose of either appealing to kids or making a memorable occasion ages ago.

The style seems like a far cry from the culturally established Kellogg's, cartoon or mascot genre, the usual suspects in mem. Either they consciously went for a more sophisticated appearance in concordance with the sensible theme or the fandom has a mole(-morph) in the project, lol.

The characters are done by a ex-Disney animator Betsy Baytos. Check out the fun&games-pages, there's a PDF that could be used as character sheet.
