I wonder if the respective studio owners (Bandai, Saban,Disney, etc) of some the characters on CDs that are being sold by such people as Nobuhiko Abe and Wookie et al are getting royalties from the sales? Aren't these disks "for profit?" Wasn't there once a Klaus Doberman that was contacted by Dreamworks for unauthorized use of characters on a pay site? I wonder if the same concern would apply for these CDs?

I'm sure they do know of them (To a point), but most artists doing fan art and even porn aren't worth the 'cease and desist' orders. However that's not to say it doesn't happen and if they find out said artist is making money say.. off of Simba taking it up the ass, they can get a bit agressive.
Japanese studios are a whole other keg of fish due to the huge doijinshi market, be it G or XXX. Some of them will come after you, as Nintendo took a artist who did a manga of Ash raping Pikachu to court a few years ago and said artist was fined 2 million yen and spent 6 months to a year in jail.
