What the bloody hell is wrong here?

The best board to me is the "female" one.

But for WEEKS now, most of the threads have nothing but reposts or absolute spoogy shit.

The "Minerva" thread has nothing but total crap.

We've had an influx of new posters, lately. When that happens, we tend to get hit with a lot of random art. The more people we have, the more art will be posted. And there are a lot of new aspiring artists who have yet to refine their skills. Try to be patient with them.

If they're asking for opinions on the content of the image, then please report it to us. Those kinds of posts/threads belong in /crit.

That being said, is it acceptable to give advice to posts/posters aside from those in /crit if it's not asked for?

We really try to keep away from that, in all honesty. Since the main area of the boards are there to share and thusly advertise, "advice" has a tendency to get in the way and then get out of hand. After all, text should be limited in all areas except /crit and /dis.

It's okay to say, "That artwork is really nice!" or a simple, "I don't care for that as much as [insert image here]." It's also okay to discuss the content of the image (lightly, without giant walls of text) with other users. But other than that.. try not to.

The Minerva thread looks to me on par with most everything in /m/, /a/ and /ah/, so what's the deal?

Thank the DNP list and dramawhores that cause good threads to be deleted.

The DNP list doesn't actually cause there to be a loss of decent art. Many people on the DNP list are relatively unknown to most of the fandom. Those who are well known don't want their art posted to ANY site, and a good portion of them post their own art here, anyway. In fact, we are proud to have this many artist support us! ^^

As I already stated, our user-base has increased, and with it has come a larger collection of art from many new and inexperienced artists. I can understand how easy it is to play the blame game with the DNP, but when you get right down to it, that's not the case.
