Infuriatingly intriguing!

"If 'A' is two, and 'B' is three, and 'F' is eight...
...how high must you count to get to heaven?"

Anyone have any ideas? That 'F' is eight bit has me stuck.

I think the OP is referring toooooo... this: http://www.pholph.com/

But as for the riddle itself, I really have no clue. :)

Though, one thing that comes to mind is that A could be the second letter in a word, B the third, F the eighth... but I'm far, far too tired to contemplate what it could be. ;)

makes me consider maybe the word "heaven" comes after the first word that is being described in the riddle.  im guessing its a statement, and the cooresponding letters have their own numbered order.  Maybe the F is the last letter in that word, or maybe it isnt.  Hard one to crack to say the least.

There's a trick to it. Something so incredibly obvious it's completely obscure.

I'm usually better at number riddles than this >.>

Well, I don't know if this helps...

A=2 is a constant
B=3 B is 1 letter after A 2+1=3
F=8 F is 5 letters after B 3+5=8

And the answer is that you can't count to heaven.

F is only 4 letters after B.

F would only be 7.

Ack, sorry, it was early in the morning.

F is 5 letters after A.  A method that fits the pattern is:

New Letter = Value of Old Letter + Number of Letters New Letter is away from A

Another method that fits the pattern is New Letter = Old Letter squared - 1

But again, this can only be associated with these three letters, so unless the answer is "You can't count to heaven" neither of these really help.

Or it could just be counting up from A starting at 2, with every 6th letter adding an extra 1.  That would make "Heaven" = 64.

Again, not sure if any of this helps or not, but it's fun to try! ^^

OP here.

Still no new ideas, but if any of you figure it out, don't just post the answer. A few hints would be nice though!

42.

or 6*9 with a little C coding trick ;) Since F and B are constants you can pull them out of the integral. Thats how you get 42.

A=2 B=3 C=4 D=5 E=7 F=8

Tip: It has to do with the vowels.

whoa so wait... consonants add one, vowels add two? so would it be that you take whatever numbers each of the letters in heaven have and add them together, or start at one with H and add one or two depending on whether a vowel or consonant is next...
so either... H=10 E=7 A=2 V=27 E=7 N=17, thus "70" or "107,227,717"
or... H(1) E(+2=3) A(+2=5) V(+1=6) E(+2=8) N(+1=9), thus "9"
um... though the first way seems more like the answer to such a riddle. Though it's possible that the numbers said are random and he said it just to confuse readers and tune in friday as he said. O_O

Thanks for the hint, Echoen. =)

Hopefully the third one will be even harder!
