This thread instantly made me picture hairy italian guys. *promptly shudders* XD No hair for me, thanks. Not even a little. Hair is stinky and it absorbs sweat like you wouldn't believe. XP

for me, any hair below the head is a no-go...except for the part between the bellybutton and the _penis_

hair != fur
even if you don't have any clue, there actually IS a difference.

Buster at 6 Jan 2007: 22:18

No, not really, 12. Hair and fur are effectively the same, no matter what you want to think

Human hair and animal hair, are different. Human body hair is pritty much useless. We dont have enough to help keep us warm, and theres no other use for it. Animals (and furs obviously) have a consistent coat of body fur, all flowing in a specific manner, and usualy alot nicer feeling than human body "fur". If you dont believe me, snuggle with a cat, or dog, (I dont suggest animals at the zoo) Then snuggle against a rather hairy human (again, I dont suggest you do so at the zoo) and Im sure you feel the difference. Human hair = corse and inconsistent. Animal hair (alot of the time) = soft and constant...

Hair and fur are the same thing...almost.

Hair is the thin filament that extends from the skin of a human or animal. Fur is the collective term, often misused, that refers to all of the hair together on an organism's body.

So seems the theme is that people like shaving metrosexuals or girly smooth twinks.. super! 9_9 I've got mostly northern European genes and have got some hair on my arms and legs with a little smattering on the torso and a happy trail, but screw all that waxing/shaving BS

I like hairy guys.  If I wanted something hairless, I'd be into women or children.  :P

Megidro at 9 Jan 2007: 11:32

Robin Williams is past hairy. He litteraly IS furry.
As for myself, Im kinda just fuzzy. Its everywhere, but spread a bit thinly. Sadly though Im only 18, so it has time to "fill out" *cry*...
Ill get there some day Robin...

Okay what if i do a full body shampoo and conditioner to make my hair more soft am i more desirable as a yiff partner or just a guy with good smelling chest hair

21Report
Dalamin at 15 Jan 2007: 11:43

It all realy depends on personal preferences. Now if your in a teepee out in the woods, covered in body paint, then it might have a better effect. Why exactly Im not realy sure...

ok so i can' be hairy AND have a HUGE wang does that help any?

23Report
Dalamin at 24 Jan 2007: 23:35

>>22
Depends on if its a nice big 'wang' or a 'huge' dissapointment.
Hair is pritty nice on some guys, while others are nice when almost completly smoothe

I wouldn't say pretty much useless. Do you know why body hair is so dense in the armpits? That's where we sweat a lot. It's to trap the pheromones so that you can attract a genetically differential partner. Now of course, there's a difference between being hairy yet hygienic and being hairy and stinky.

I think the idea is to strike a balance - waxing yourself until you're so smooth you could slide off a mountain of caramel and drowning yourself in after shave/perfume until you get high from the fumes - well, this is too much. People who get together and constantly hide each others pheromones, are more likely to not know if they have genetically indifferent genes, and that leads to deformities in offspring.

Conversely, don't wash for a week and you'll be getting no hole at all!

Actually all the studies I've seen suggested that our unconscious pheromonal comprehension was not affected by modern hygenic practices. It's still there, and we're good at picking up the subtleties.

That all just makes me think even more poorly of body hair... :P
I dont mind some hair in some places, but I could do entirely without armpit hair. Its kinda just... Eww... Specialy when you see some hot guy, then he lifts his arms and its like he had Chubaca in a headlock... IMO it would be preferable to only have head/facial hair, along with arms and legs. Mayby a little on the chest, stomach and groin, but not so much that you need to hire an elf ranger to find your way through it.

Yep. I take electtic clippers to my armpits. I can't go near them with a razor, but the clippers don't touch the skin. And it looks a hell of a lot better than a dustbunny in the pit.
