Nick: "You are as one dead to us (except when character licensing is involved) . Endless re-runs are your lot for all eternity!"

The Tallest: "Earth? Oh, yes! That Zim fellow... Oh well.. Plenty more invasion sites where that came from.  Besides, their snackables were of inferior quality."

Jhonen C. Vasquez: "Screw Nick."

The series was canceled in 2002 for being "too frightening". There are rumors of new episodes of being in production.

It was made for a younger age group than it appealed to. Little kids found it disturbing, (or alteast their parents did) While teenagers and the like loved it beyond comparison. *sigh* O where have you gone my Tallest.

Yes. Invader Zim did have a rather dark and dingey display of humanity, something I think that was intended. I loved and still love the show, "Walk of Doom" was my favorite.

"Well buy your candy! Well buy you CANDY! Well buy it! Well buy your candy!"

Nickelodeon makes this mistake often. Their broadcasts are primarly for 3-13 year olds. They used to have Ren and Stimpy many years ago, and that was stopped too. I now catch repeats of Invader Zim at midnight.

Invader zim was AWSOME!! Too bad they dont play it anymore. My favorite episode was the one with the two aliens that 'Fuse' a gerbil to Zim using glue.

Ren & Stimpy was on Nickelodeon solely because Viacom owns both MTV and Nick. R&S was also on MTV at the time it was on Nick, and I think they were doing a cross promotional thing.

Of course, back then, there was a lot less concern about stuff on TV than there is now, I grew up watching that every day...

>>3 The art looked to be made by Jhonen, like he was tired of hearing fanmail saying "When is Zim coming back?" so I thought the art was a statement to get fans to shut up.  But I guess it was made by a Dib fan >>5 I knew it was cancelled >>6 >>7 I figured that  >>9 I watch a lot of tv so, I know that too

Case and point, thanks for the info >>3 but try to sound nice next time.  Don't make Grr cry!

The show was a good show, but I never really stood around to watch an episode as Nick was getting really... lame? Anyways Cartoon Network had better toons on anyways.

Wrong place at the wrong time. Just like "The Upright Citizens Brigade".
