Well to me it's the enviroment of it all. I was at Califur and Anime Expo in that order and they were only a few months apart from each other. The deal with Califur I like was the cuddly behavior albeit being straight I have a tendency to shun away from hugging those of the same sex unless I know them. For me the celebration of furryness goes rather well in events such as Califur but what does bug me is the Emo gays that jump to conclusions when you don't car for their lifestlye and the ones that wear a gay patch like a fucking swastika. The second are a few overweight girls that preach about acceptance of their weight levels I find that actually does exist at cons. To be perfectly honest I do rather enjoy public displays of affection from straight couples so long as a they do it literally to the side (Ie: off a some wall some wear on not highly traffic areas) for me it's sweet unless it's full out cloths are going off foreplay. However I'm a little more uncomfortable with homosexual couples for some reason (this is somewhat strange considering if I thought the guy caring enough that I may dab in that direction) Holding hands cute light kissing cute, cuddly rubby depends on how cute they are, but as soon as a tounge slips into another tongue Creepy. Going on the Hostile nature of Anime Expo it's not quite as genuinely hostile as Califur threatening due to how cold people are that may be but as soon as the darkness settles Anime expo becomes much more social as the ravers and the furs come out to play. To me what's appropriate at one con is not appropriate at another. I'll say this much I can understand the ammount of erotisism one could get from doing public displays but as you are doing that you should move it to the side so that the people their can look away if they want to.
As far as Furs being happy I'm sorry Furs are the most act happy pent up negativity people on the face of the planet they act caring but watch out like all those gay militants if their is something you don't like about thier lifestyle choice (whether be tsunami style open homosexualty or fucking your best friend while her boyfriend was else where) They'll vent every fucking shit they can on you because you oppose them even if you are discussing it rather then threatening them. There comes a point that some furries only seem to understand dominance and ass kicking to get the point across where as anime fans couldn't give a fuck. To some degree I think the Fandom could do with a little less "acceptance" and little more with tolerance. Let's gang up and tolerate you.
