the curse of image boards

1 Report	at 7 Jul 2007: 15:19 every 'chan' board is same, people are requesting certain pics and they get them , they ask for more they get it.. and then they ask for something new.. they barely gets it or get reposts after reposts. it's very hard to find something new nowadays.artists barely lurks around these boards so they aren't even receiving inspiration , and requesting things at FA might cause you to get a ban from the user , it happens quite often when you say " i'd like more.." " could you draw more.." "do you take requests.." well if you weren not banned you are degraded in the eye of the artist... ps. real fans dont yell "MOAR" but " thanks for this great artwork" i barely see the second kind ;/

If people keep harassing them about doing this or doing that I'm not surprised if someone might get a ban in the process. And what comes to the whole lack of originality: it's porn. How original can it be? If you take a look at clean furry art there's a lot of way much more interesting stuff going on in there.

Especially when they have a backlog of commissions, trades, etc. to complete, and some random person comes along and asks for a freebie of something really freaking weird. I can't blame them, and after to much of it, I'd probably do the same thing (if being nice and explaining it the first hundred times didn't work, which it never does). New work does get posted. Check /artist, for instance. And on the other boards. However, consider all the work done by artists over the past decade. Do you think there will be more new art than that, ever? No. That's illogical. So there will always be more reposts than new art. It's the only thing that makes any sense. Also: If you want something special, pay for it. Money talks, as they say.

I always thank my favorite artists after everything they have, because they desurve the appreciation.
