I didn't know where else to put this, so sorry if this is in the wrong section.  I was just wondering how I save flash files onto my computer in an .flv format.  I've tried everything I can think of, but the closest thing I can get to is saving it as an internet link.

Not .flv, sorry about that.  I can't think of the proper file type for flash files at the moment.

If you just made a flash animation and you want to save it so that it plays as just the animation and not the working file, then you go to file, export movie, and then save. It should then be saved as a .swf or you could make it into an animated .gif if you wanted by typing in .gif after the file name.

If you just drew something in flash and you want to save it as just the image then you do the same, file, export then export image. Then you can choose the file type of .png, .jpg, .gif, etc.

I've never heard of .flv before, but I hope that helps

If you want a Flash animation from a web page, just go to the File menu in your browser, click Save and choose "Web Page Complete" option underneath it. It will save the web page together with all the Flash stuff to your folder.

If the link leads you to the actual .swf file itself, right click that link and select "save target as".

The resulting .swf file can then be played back on your PC.

For embeded flash files, open the "tools" menu, select "Page Info", select the "Media" tab, select the flash you want in the list, and hit "save as".
