It isn't religion holding us back.  By all accounts, since the three major western religions share the first books of the bible in common (i.e. The Old Testament), we were created in God's Image, literally meaning to be like unto God.  Therefore, by rights, we're entitled to "play God" with genetics.

Its the religious extremists in each of the major religions who refuse to let us have a crack at God's Power and fulfill our destinies to become Gods ourselves.

Hopefully, some day, people will be able to become exactly what they wish to be thru the miracles of genetic engineering and other sciences.  Until then, we're forced to exist in a mundane banal world that places the pursuit of money (the root of all evil(!!!)) over everything else.  How sad.  We live in Satan's Paradise.  You might know it better as Hell.

>>7  Well, we are in a "third chimpanzee" kind of way, but I wouldn't count on us becoming more similar to our less complex cousins.  Then, who knows what will become of the species in the next fifty-thousand years?  By the earliest humans' standards, we today would likely seem godlike.  Perhaps the trend will continue, and our descendants will be beings that can part seas and create planets?  Or maybe we'll stagnate and become tireless cubicle-dwelling, tie-wearing drones who never experience creative thought or dye our hair non-regulation colors.

But you guys jack off to lions, tigers, bears and other animal like humans that have lots of body hair, explain that!

This question is retarded and flamebait, but I'll amuse everyone.  :3

There's a MASSIVE difference between FUR-- Which really isn't drawn in too much terrible detail (except for artists like Blotch) and seem to fit to the contours of someone's body, and would PROBABLY feel very good against bare human skin.. And then the hair of a really, really fat, sweaty man with coarse, curly and unkept body hair  :P

Fur and hair have very different textures in any case. I like petting cats, their fur is soft and pleasant to touch and they enjoy my company, they purr and want more petting. Amimals can be very cute and sometimes even sexy. Some people can imagine (and I emphasize IMAGINE) being turned on by a woman with a cat's fur and face.

Silly thread, but no one's gotten insulting yet...imagine that!

Same reason "normal" porn turns other people on.  Porn is porn.  It just happens that there are two different names for it in this case.

23Report
at 26 Jul 2007: 21:48

Well, I do like furry porn and I do prefer my women to have a lot of hair down there.  I don't think a connection can be made between that and furry fetishes though because fur is quite different than hair.  Even the thickest human hair is rather coarse and stringy and does not have the same effect as say, fur on a dog or cat.  Also I like the hair down there, around the genital region, but don't really want the hair anywhere else on a girl.

Furthermore its not just about fur to some furries.  Lets not leave out scalies.  And birds, where do feathers fit into this?

24Report
at 27 Jul 2007: 05:18

Also a lot of furry porn shows furries wet from swimming or bathing, but I don't think a lot of the people who find that porn sexy would want a big nose-full of someone covered in soaking wet animal fur. Bleeargh. It's a fantasy thing, it's selective. It's ephemeral. It's not to be taken literally.

So of course many people take it literally.

Is there a connection to yiff and beastialty?

27Report (sage)

Depends on the person and their idea of 'a connection' really.  Some folks think 'furry=animals=bestiality' while others feel very weird that anyone would ever think like that.

28Report
at 28 Jul 2007: 00:00

Not to me. But then for my boyfriend he thinks there is. Personally I could never touch a real animal the way I would yiff pictures. Thats horrible. I find yiff more human like then animal like in that respect.

29Report
at 28 Jul 2007: 03:48

Isn't yiff just a furry slang term for fucking in general regardless of who is fucking what?

30Report
Bizzle at 28 Jul 2007: 07:49

I'm not sure. I've seen it used in so many ways that it almost seems like the word has lost all meaning. It's like "smurf", for furries. :/

Not all of them do, thus the areas of /AH/ and /Toon/ are separated from the regular furry porn boards - So I can look at furries fucking, without having to see furry children being raped.

Now my question:  Are you a troll, or just hopelessly clueless?

40Report
at 28 Jul 2007: 23:23

You know... I think we're attracted more to the animal features (head, tail, claws, and all the other really seductive stuff about furries... hmm...) instead of the fact that they are ... uhh... furry.  Eh... then again... I'm generalizing to everyone.  I'm sure that there are some that prefer ... uhh... hairy mates, just not in the majority.

Not that terribly sexy, is it?

Maybe he's one of the very very few that hears all these horrible things people say abhout furs and instead of just believing and hating automatically, he wants to form his own opinion.  If that's the case, kudos to you, the world needs more people like this.

45Report
Nick at 29 Jul 2007: 11:09

>>41 No, it's not.

The best I can explain it, at least for me, is two-fold:

 - Hair is not fur
 - Artistic depictions are stylized, and that stylization is part of what we like about it.

The curious part of this whole thing is that you (or someone) asked a question, but then apparently unhappy with the responses you try to use logic to discount and disprove them.  You've gotten your answer - a few people do, but apparently most don't.

Honestly if this continues I'd assume it's some subtle attempt at trolling and just ignore it.

Last question I promise, Do you guys really enjoy fursuit sex?  How the hell can you make love in a mascot outfit?

47Report (sage)
at 29 Jul 2007: 18:29

On the remote chance this isn't a troll ("you guys"? C'mon!), here's something to think about. The number of furry fans with fursuits is miniscule. Of those few that do own a fursuit, only a miniscule percentage of those have anything close to sex involving fursuits.

Sorry. You've been watching too much CSI. Fursuiting might be a part of the Furry fandom, but it sure ain't the premier portion.

48Report
at 30 Jul 2007: 06:15

This bit just shows how easy it is to manipulate public opinion. Somehow fursuit sex, which is fringe within furry, has come to mean everyone who likes furry? Crazy. That would be like saying "Well you're white so I know you like NASCAR!"

49Report
at 30 Jul 2007: 17:55

Well, do you?
