Mods, would it be possible to implement a "edit post" option (or is there already one in place? I didn't see one).  Double posting when I pull a bonehead maneouvre (sp?) such as forgetting to add something to a post, or misspelling (again, sp? I'm feeling slow today) a word is kind of annoying, and other forums I've frequented in the past have made a point of punishing me for doing so in an effort to break the habit.

Hey Maiq.

Xeno is supposed to be working on something like that for the image boards, but the discussion side doesn't really have an edit post function. Coding one would also be a lot harder, so I don't think it's going to happen. :/

Meh, I hope Xenofur is putting a lot of thought behind whatever edits he's making for an edit post function. There's a lot of room to leave exploits open that could give total mySQL access and the ability to run commands.

At the moment, the only good way to "edit" your post is to simply delete it and make it again.

Bah.  If Slashdot can do without the ability to edit posts, I think Fchan can :)

Really though, I can't stand edited posts because the only thing it leads to is confusion.  Sure it can be nice for fixing speling errors (though that's what Google's Toolbar is for), but it's also a handy for trolls to do their thing and appear innocent.

So Xeno, be as slow as you like ;)
