I was wondering...
What's up with all the spam in /req?
When I first "joined up", so to speak, there was barely anything, but now it's coming out of the fucking walls!
...A bit like the blood in Evil Dead, actually...

simply becuase nobody uses /req/ so nobody really notices (despite the rule of the boards not being used for requests, they use it like that anyway) *shrugs* just don't go there i guess, its kinda obvious how empty and unused it is anyway.

also, lol at /req/ threads with 50+ spam posts in them.

I guess that means the mods will have to get out the ol' double-barrel of ban and blow their butts to kingdom come.  See if they don't.

Sorry if you misunderstood, I wasn't going "OMG there is spam! Fix it fix it fix it!!11!1!", I was just wondering why there was such a lot of it coming in at the same time, just all of a sudden...

The reason why there is any spam on the internet at all is because way back in 1994 some reclusive teenage script kiddie, initially playing a prank, sent a random e-mail message to a 70-year old woman who never heard of computers and/or the Internet before she saw one of the reporters on 60 minutes talk about it.  She actually responded and bought something from the horribly worded message, her advanced macular degeneration causing her to overlook the many spelling and grammatical errors in the message.  Because of this one woman, spammers were born and will never relent.  I blame this old woman, whatever her name is, for all Internet spam.

So...instead of blaming the kid who sent it, you're going to blame the victim.

Nice.
