We're browsing fchan. Hi!
Make sure to take the dry pieces of turkey btw. We ran out of paper towels about an hour ago. :)

"We're browsing fchan."

Out of curiosity, who exactly is "We"?

Sequence of sentences suggests something atrocious :0

I don't quite understand why Americans celebrate Thanksgiving now. Isn't Thanksgiving supposed to be about the harvest? It seems a little late in the year to be celebrating that.

In the first paragraph of the article you posted it says, "Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is a traditional North American holiday to give thanks for the things that one has at the conclusion of the harvest season."  Conclusion meaning end, so late in the year would be a logical time to celebrate it..But really, Thanksgiving isn't about the harvest anymore, it's more of time to get together with family and friends and stuff your face with overcooked turkey and canned cranberry stuff.

>>5  It kind of figures that it would be a little bit late in the harvest cycle.  You can't have a feast until you've harvested the component crops!

As for why the fourth Thursday of November was chosen, I can not rightly say.  I do know that Franklin Roosevelt and the congress at the time set the date back in the late Thirties.  Who says that the Three Stooges aren't educational entertainment?

>>6  And football!  Don't forget football.
