I always try to catch those but never do. Thanks for posting them!  XD

I like how they used to "revised" laws that are near the end of the book rather than the originals at the beginning. =P  If anyone hasn't seen/read it, find a copy of animal farm at your library or wherever, it's a nice piece of fiction and has an interesting take on soviet communism.

Thank you, I intentionally used the updated version. It sort of reminded me how the fandom itself has evolved.

All animals are equal, but some are more equal then others.

Always wanted to read those, so thanks.

I find these rules to be rather shallow and pedantic.

[sarcasm] Yeah, that  George Orwell sure was a shallow  dilettante. [/sarcasm]

for every rule there is an exception...                         1 non-fur kin is the enemy?                                     2 a swarm of hornets isn't my friend (but to each his own)      3 i can't fight that                                            4 domesticated (soft warm girl > cold snowy ground)             5 ok,but what of "worse" vices can i partake of them?           6 there is a cause for every action(justifiable cause is better)7 nice thought but life isn't an equation. dog does not equal cat does not equal whale does not equal avian.                  these are just my views,if you disagree fine,if you agree thats just as well.

Don't you mean: 7. All animals are equal, except mods, who shall reign over the lesser creatures.

Damn, it's too bad I've only read 1984...soooo much more Orwellian goodness I'm missing, I can tell. Though, 1984 was outstanding (and disturbingly prophetic) all on its own.

20Report
at 3 Jan 2008: 04:03

Try Huxley's Brave New World instead...for most people that's more in line with what they experience. 1984 is a tad extreme for the US...More like the UK, what with its innumerable amount of cameras.

Well, in the US (at least in the major cities) you've got cameras in every store and several government organs that are authorized walk in ANYTIME and demand to see the tapes...

F. F. Woodycocks (ntrly) at 3 Jan 2008: 15:00

Oh bah. Cameras? Yeah, like the government thinks YOU'RE so very interesting. If they can't maintain infastructure and search more than one word at a time at the FBI and quell the conflict between the numerous intelligence agencies, then I really don't think you have anything to be worried about.

1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.

Using this to refer to the furry fandom makes no sense, since an anthropomorphiuc animal does on two legs instead of four. So, anthro is bad now?

26Report
Kamunt at 9 Jan 2008: 21:41

Yes, yes it is. VERY bad. Obviously.
