So, /dis/cussors. What's your idea of a perfect web-based graphic novel?

My perfect webcomic has a quick-progressing storyline, lots of plot twists, decent art, decent amounts of action, decent scripting, and no wall-of-text pages.

If your trying to make the story original.

keep it a secret.

I found this to be my perfect format: http://www.gunnerkrigg.com
Semi-regular updates, good, but not over-the-board art, simple yet engaging story that doesn't take itself serious.

Good topic. I read about 40 webcomics on a consistent basis, ranging from daily video game gag strips to drawn out, epic storylines. So far, some of my favorites are ones that use simplistic yet realistic art styles that manage to catch the eye without being busy. The plot being revealed through the eyes of a character that can easily be related to makes the story that much more believable, especially if it's well scripted.

Faux-Pas for lighthearted fun.

Fur Will Fly I liked, before the artist changed, then I kind of lost interest...

Ursula Vernon's Irrational Fears would have been good as a webcomic...

I don't know if I've got anything more dramatic that I can say is 10/10, though.

I hear Neil Gaiman reads this. I've never gotten around to reading it, though. ... Strike that. Just finished with the archives. It's a decent comic, but it doesn't really hit a home run for me. I think it's the subtle lack of emotion or... something. It's defiantly a comic I will continue reading, though.

One comic that really "popped my top" was the original Altermeta strip that was put out by Casey Young. ( http://www.altermeta.net  Click the "Older Comic" link.) But, she discontinued that comic and started up a new one which has yet to impress me.

I stumbled across Altermeta a couple of months ago. I never was one to like anthro dragons all that much, but her style is exceptionally cute.
