Even been skunked?

Not myself, personally, but my dogs have a tendency to get sprayed. It's horrible. The smell stays around for days, everyone around recognizes it, and if you're really that close to it, it burns your nose, eyes, and throat. I would have vomited one of the times, when the dog who got sprayed came directly to me after being sprayed, if I'd had something in my stomach. Empty wretching = not fun. From a distance, I think it smells all right. When it's nearby, I can't stand it. I also have this idea that A LOT (not all, thank you) of people who claim to really like the smell have never actually been very close to where it was released, nor have been skunked.

I've never been sprayed or smelled someone or something that had been sprayed a close rang, but i've smelled it from a distance and i love it. I wish i could smell it at close range without actually being sprayed. I'm pretty sure my nose will hate me though.

Did you have to give your dog a tomato juice bath?

>>3 It's not at all the same from a distance and up close. Not at ALL.>>4 Yeah. It gets rid of a good bit of the actual spray, but the dogs still smell strong, and the house still reeks. The dogs love the tomato juice baths, though.

I have three dogs, but i've never seen a skunk around where i live. Wish there were some though. I dunno why, but the though of skunk spray gets me off.

Never been skunked, but I have sure been up close to ground zero of where skunks had a butt-blasting bonanza, and Deatzh is right on. When it's from a distance, it's not so bad, but up close where you actually inhale the vapors it's horrifying. You can taste it as well as smell it, and it goes from being just a smell to more like a total oppressive experience. ...Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Only furries dream of being skunked. The people in this thread who say that truly sicken and disgust me.

>>9 They dream of it because it's "furry" and soo different, but like most people say: they just share this opinion until they get skunked. They really don't know what it's like until you experienced it first-hand.

Like a lot of things that end up tied in with fetishes, the idea of it is probably far more appealing than the reality. Like how skunkyness gets portrayed on cartoons as cute or funny when it's, err... In reality not so much cute or funny.

It's still nice to image though.
