its funny, I was looking at teh requests board and I saw a whole
lot of requests. Some of which got answered, but I don't think any
of them were requesting RHETORIC! what's the point of having a
requests board if most of the time your request doesn't get answered
or you get some asshole arguing that your request isn't "furry" enough!

please, discuss.

The problem with requesting anything is that you're immediately at the mercy of other people.

In this case, other people ON THE INTERNET.

We're lazy. Deal.

Time = money.

Few people are so altruistic that they'd give up their valuable time to help a stranger find fetish porn to masturbate to.

You are doing nothing to help others in their lives for helping you jack off.

okay where do I start. Well first of all THIS IS AN IMAGE BOARD, finding fetish porn for strangers is kind of what it does even when its trying not to. My point is why even bother having a request section if its not even serving its purpose. (yeah I'm talking to you Moderators) It might as well be /b/.

But I don't really care, I just thought it was something to think about.

Why even bother?

Simple, so people don't spam their requests for a clown being fucked up the ass by Mickey Mouse all over the other boards.

Slikfiji, I know what you mean. I've started a few threads based on requests placed in /req and they turned out well (In other words, I was getting together fetish porn for strangers, cheerfully so.) but most people seem to just use it as a place to snipe at people making requests. I don't know what to say about it except, yeah, it sucks that it's like that, and I'll keep looking out to help when I can. Hopefully others will too, but as with anything on the Internet, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

5 has a good point though, if there wasn't a board just to house requests, /dis would become even worse than it is.

Bawwww. Stop complaining on the internet.

Fap and move on, would you?

It depends on the query. It's unlikely one will answer a specific request if a thread (pertaining to the request) has been started on an image board. Persons asking for directions to an artist's site/ merchandise are often replied to. For other requests, it just might be that nobody has an answer to the query.

Seriously, if you don't like something here, cry more. It'll work, really.

I think the point being made here is as follows:

porn = time
time = money

/req/ isn't making any "money" and therefore fails to serve its purpose.

Purpose failed = vestigial board

logical conclusion would be to remove the board altogether.

you see people, its not complaining, its company think-tank!

ah the wonders of the internetz economy. someone should be getting a promotion if this new plan pulls through!

OMFG people are trying to discuss something, I better go tell them to quit complaining and fap and move on because I'm between sessions of fapping to the clipart in the Veterinarian section of the Yellow Pages and I'm an insecure little prick who can't stand discussions that don't consist of memes.

And I'm out of Raisin Bran Crunch! BUY ME SOME, MOM!
