Why is the fchan control panel purposely disabled only in Internet Explorer?

It didn't work properly in IE and the time it would take me to fix it is completely disproportional to the time it takes a person to switch to a sane browser.

Just switch, its not going to get fixed and you will continue to be automatically insulted by this site until you do.

>>4 No, it does in fact work properly. You just intentionally crippled it due to the fact you want people to believe it is dysfunctional, and switch to something else. I disabled the IE check through a content proxy, so your not fooling anyone.

>>6 Last i checked was under IE6 and i haven't touched it since then. Maybe you're running a new version or something. Feel free to provide the needed changes to the code to make it distinguish between the IE6 and whatever you're using and i'll integrate them.

>>7 Just remove the IE checks in the javascript and it should work as intended. I'll even provide you a video showing the control panel in action in IE. http://orl.fvfonline.com/misc/fchan.avi Just be sure to have the xvid codec installed.

>>8 Are you even reading what he's saying? It looks like you're using IE8. Just because it works in IE8 does not mean it is magically going to start working in IE6, and just completely removing the check will break the site for anybody using IE6.

>>9 Thank you. Additionally, IE8 users are only about 10% of the IE users on fchan. Either way, >>8 , as i mentioned, feel free to contribute code to identify IE8 and not block it. I won't spend a second beyond integrating that on working for people who actually choose IE.

>>10 "I won't spend a second beyond integrating that on working for people who actually choose IE." But you would spend weeks working on it for any other browser, right?

>>11 Any other browser would be more standards-compliant, and so relatively little extra work would be needed (if there was even an issue to begin with).
