Can anyone help me find two pictures of Sawyer? They are both black and white line drawings. One is by Desiree Lee and has her with her arms folded saying something like "You want to draw me doing what?". Another is by Master of Puppets and she's kneeling with Fawn Deer. Since we're doing nudes, how about something "classical?" Or "deco" at least.
Some of you are probably not old enough to recognize the arcane object in the background -- it's a butane cigarette lighter. My mother had one just like it, and I own it still, though don't use it for anything but a decoration. The brushed steel body and enamal black cat are very handsome.

No such luck. Two interruptions. But this is the last post -- I'm done.
Somebody complained there was no new Sawyer "smut." I beg to differ. This one was begun sometime before New Year, but I only scanned it this month.
I begin to see a weakness in the protection granted by Rule #4. It depends on the members of Fchan reading and memorizing the entire list of DNP artists. How likely is that? The onlyway Rule 4 works is if the artists are constantly checking up on Fchan... as I do at least intermittently.

The artist who sketched this I only know by the name "Priest 22." I was still learning how to use Photoshop at the time and liked this drawing enough to do some simple practise on it. Eventually I was able to show it to "Priest 22" who seemed flattered.
Sawyer seems somewhat tipsy to me, and maybe in an "easy" mood.

"Bubble Dance" is one of four "dance" pieces I did for Al Fishbeck in 2004. The finished coloured versions weren't done until 2005. A couple of them have appeared in Fchan before, that I know of, but not all four.
I had prints made up of the series, but they were underacheivers... I later decided that nobody wanted a picture of Sawyer with a mustached chipmunk in the way. But that was part of the comission. No chipmunk, no commission. And no print sales, alas.

Later, Al commissioned another series of Sawyer drawings. He asked for six originally, but later expanded the job to eight when I said I thought it needed a bit more development. Rather than post the whole bunch separately, I'll post this "strip" version I assembled in Photoshop. It has the advantage of letting the viewer see the action unfold just by sweeping his eye from left to right.
I have to confess, though, that his job very nearly burned me out on drawing Sawyer ever again.

Someone said of Sawyer that it would be a "cold day in August" before she ever posed in the nude for a calendar. They forgot that in Australia, or anywhere in the Southern hemisphere, most days in August are cold.

I'm not terrifically familiar with Elton Portiho's work, but it doesn't look like it to me. Besides, I had some contact with "Priest 22" over the business. Either "Priest" is Portiho, or perhaps he was speaking for Portiho as an intermediate -- I dunno. It was too long ago and have had no contact since.
I should look around FurAffinity to see if he has a gallery there. That might settle the question.

Last batch of Sawyer art. I may have missed a few things, but these last ten will cover most of the better material.
I believe I did this for Shelley's CDD site, though it's a bit more revealling than she likes. Actually, I don't think gold paint over fur would work well, but what they hell... it's a cartoon of a cartoon character.
The other characters are Dorothy and Beatrix from the comic I was doing with Steve Gallacci, years ago.

The text with the art (above) tells of a fictional encounter with J.J. Mammoth. Sawyer wanted a raise and the boss said no. So Sawyer tried to walk out. But NOBODY walks out on a contract with Mammoth studios... Anyone who tries is well advised not to accept a drink from the "special bottle" when the boss offers it.
Likely as not the stuff wore off eventually, and Sawyer was still about 25 when ST:TNG was on the air.

The original use of this pose wasn't the statufication of Sawyer (above) of course. I did this somewhat unusual pic of her in fetish gear. I don't usually do leather/rubber/bondage stuff, but I had a customer who was responsive to it and experimented for a while. I liked the black shiny textures, I have to admit.

The final version of "Fetish Sawyer." I had just learned how to do the re-iterative thing and used it a few times in pictures like this. Now I'm over it. Every second piece of imitative manga or anime art uses this gimmick, after all, and nothing marks the artist as unoriginal as doing this does. Take heed!
I have prints of this and some other Sawyer art, by the way. When this thread disappears, as it will shortly, you may have no other source! That's why we artists do this, after all. We're selfish, greedy, capitalist bastards who like to have money to pay the rent and feed ourselves.

"China Made" is only sort of Sawyer. She's more of a Sawyer-like cat, but close enough I don't mind passing her off as the genuine article over at the CDD fansite. I like the dress, for one thing, and desparately want to fondle that leg, and follow it downward to the "inevitable consequences."

Another "Sawyer-like" cat who I don't mind giving that name. The real Sawyer is probably too prim to hang around on street corners dressed like this. Some cop would get the wrong idea and run her it, of course. Look at the car in the background. This is the early 40s and decent ladies don't dress like this. Hell, even the prostitutes don't dress like this! But I like it.
In any case, that's all folks. Even if I turn up a couple more from somewhere, I won't bother to add them.
Its a sad truth that this thread has not been holding up well. Each day I posted new art, I found the thread had sunk almost halfway to the bottom of the /toon/ page. It makes me think that once I stop posting, it'll drop off the bottom entirely in about three days.
Perhaps its not quite that bad. The more popular threads are probably jostling for top position, and once the Sawyer thread is pushed to about half way to the bottom, it's further descent will likely be slower.

I used to post regularly here, about a year and a half ago. Took it as a public service, and went to great trouble to do screen capures of unsual material to put up, or posted my own work. But I got bored, and often the threads vanished without much comment before the week was out. The other thing is that apart from Sawyer and Gadget, I don't have a large body of drawings of characters from animation that I can build a thread around. I can pick a them -- like quicksand or statufication -- and have done so in the past. They didn't seem to attract many other posts, though.
These days I spend most of my time at FurAffinity. I get more response, and I can just post what I want, without having to fit a theme or thread. I also don't have to look at vast amounts of furry art that make my eyes water...

I can keep this thread afloat a while longer -- I have a "gimmick" I can use to bump it, but only three times. It wouldn't be fair to bump it up without new posts for longer than that anyway.
But it occurs to me to say that one reason it's hard to keep a Sawyer thread going is that its been quite a number of years since Cats Don't Dance was on the screen. For whatever reason, it seems a little easier to keep a Lola Bunny thread going, but she must be suffering from the same problem by now. There may be furries who hadn't learned to read yet when Sawyer first danced for us, in 1997.

honestly my thought is her obvious sexual appeal, swayer didnt have the flashy sex appeal warner gave minerva. sawyer had the more classy approach. so even tho she had a nice body she wasnt flaunted like minerva (or jessica rabbit and betty boop) and given how many males will instantly be drawn to the female who flaunts her goods rather then one who dosent its easy to see why she doesnt get the reconition she deserves. about as bad as the renamon/gatomon prob. (idenical like attitudes one just has more curves then the other)

Never understood the reno-whatever and gato-something characters. Probably because I never saw whatever shows they were on. I got soooooo tired of anime about ten years ago... About the only Japanese animation I'll watch these days comes from Studio Ghibli.
