There was a pretty awesome stereo 3D thread going on a long while ago, anyone still have some pics from that? Post all you have :D
For those who don't know, stereo 3D is also known informally as "cross-eye 3D," the viewer crosses his or her eyes to achieve a 3D effect.

While that is true, I personally haven't gotten Analglyph viewing to work properly, and my glasses are always so far away.
I think we can all agree that polarized light is the best way to approach this, but polarized projectors are expensive.

Not this shit again! The automatic conversion to red/blue cannot cut it! Unless you put some work into it, and manually create depth map, the only effect you can get is really, really cheap pop-up effect.
Stop making them. The annoyance of having to dig up your 3D glasses (if you have them) is not worth the effect.
PS. That made me motivation to finish my pic. Keep your thumbs up.

I have done it. It is glitch-free. Composed of over ten individual layers, each with individual depth map. That is the only way to be sure that contours are well separated and do not smudge during image displacement.
Ironically, since the effect is so realistic, you might not notice it first, is you got used to images composed of several contrasting surfaces.
It's 3 AM here, so see you tomorrow. I see at least one thing that could be improved, apart from creating a 3D background. I just want Americans to have a look when I'm sleeping.
