Art critique and advice; beginner artists are welcome to post here; includes an oekaki. (NO FLAMES)
Artists, read before posting!
Before you post your art to ask for critique, please read these tutorials. They explain the basic principles of drawing and figure drawing. Most posts where these basics are missing will never get a response, as people are quite frankly sick and bored of explaining over and over that you would have to pretty much learn how to draw first, before you could improve.
This is a part of something I've been working on. I've been obsessing over this head for way too long and something still seems a little off and I don't know if its all in my head. Am I delusional, what do you guys think?
I'd offer much better critique if you hadn't so obviously traced it.
The head has no perspective, nor does the anatomy make sense, and yet the body is absolutely flawless in perspective and anatomy. Moreover, the body is heavily shadowed whereas the head has no shadows at all. Stop tracing bodies and sticking heads on them and trying to pass them off as your own work.
