Art critique and advice; beginner artists are welcome to post here; includes an oekaki. (NO FLAMES)
Artists, read before posting!
Before you post your art to ask for critique, please read these tutorials. They explain the basic principles of drawing and figure drawing. Most posts where these basics are missing will never get a response, as people are quite frankly sick and bored of explaining over and over that you would have to pretty much learn how to draw first, before you could improve.
Anyway, as for you Vivi no this is not good. It's rather immature to be honest. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you have just recently began 'doodling'. I don't have the patience to tell you everything that is wrong in this picture beyond what the average eye can already see. If I may give my opinion on what route to take towards becoming a better artist I would say you should start where everyone else starts out at some point. Start drawing basic shapes, move on to sketching live objects when you feel comfortable enough, and then tackle human anatomy.
I'll probably be gutted for this too but if you want some guidance, and you have a DS, I'd pick up Art Academy. It's a simple, but nice program to learn with.
