Art critique and advice; beginner artists are welcome to post here; includes an oekaki. (NO FLAMES)

Artists, read before posting!

Before you post your art to ask for critique, please read these tutorials. They explain the basic principles of drawing and figure drawing. Most posts where these basics are missing will never get a response, as people are quite frankly sick and bored of explaining over and over that you would have to pretty much learn how to draw first, before you could improve.

These were brought to my attention by Aeresque#Artist. Courtesy of Scribd: Drawing the Human head, Drawing Dynamic Hands, Dynamic Figure Drawing
And for those of you who want it a bit easier, we also have the whole thing as one neat rar with all three books in pdf form.

NEW! These were brought to my attention by MajorTom in #fchan. Courtesy of Andrew Loomis: Creative Illustration, Drawing the Head and Hands, Eye Of The Painter, Figure drawing for all it's worth, Fun with a Pencil, Successful Drawing, Drawing Dynamic Hands.

If you think you know a good basic tutorial that would fit in here, feel free to contact me under Xenofur in IRC and I will add the link.

Source: When things look too flat or I how I just can't ever be happy with my drawings.

Obviously posting up here on the /crit/ alone says what I want.

I never feel happy with any of my drawings, and no matter how much anatomy, tutorials, or different styles I do, I always feel like I'm messing up. I know I am.

BUT!

I can never place what. ... so that's why I need /crit/'s help. Be the eyes I don't have (and mind of understanding drawings...blah).

I know they are sketchy and lines are everywhere... bit of an issue I have. Either I don't complete them, or it's really just my lousy inability.

Been in such a huge art rut because I know my stuff never comes out right... that I actually want opinions... tired of friends just blowing me off when I'm asking for honesty.

If you have a program capable of doing it, try to give your image a horizontal (mirror) flip every so often as you do delicate areas such as eyes and muzzles and correct centers of balance. Doing the flip can show you where you might have created an off angle.

You have great ideas, but some things (such as the questionable symmetry with Daxter's eyes) could make your ideas even better if they were taken one or two more steps.
