Whaaa?

From the front page:

"/mem/ - Memories:   Pictures involving fan favorites, or the shows you grew up with (saturday morning cartoons, Disney Afternoon, Sonic, etc.)..."

AC doesn't apply...

Well Technicaly that section is for Fan Art that would have been stuck in AH due to the content.  Like cubs or animals, and so on.  Its so people can see those pictures without going to AH.

Since none of the chars in the game are underage, they can go into their respective categories.  /m/ or /f/ or /s/.

Actually, no. Animal Crossing characters -look- all chibi and young, so it's hard to tell their age. If the age is not able to be easily determined by looking at the picture, it needs to go outside the "normal" areas. If it's from some kind of popular game or TV show or movie (fan favourites), it goes in /mem. If it's an "original" character, it goes in /a or /ah, depending.

So the best place for AC will always be /mem.

It can be a confusing and sometimes grey area, especially when it may have existed in another country than yours before you knew about it.

However, the AC characters -are- drawn in a way that makes their age hard to define. The average viewer who does not know about it may think they are cubs. Unless they're drawn to look more "mature," they cannot go in the normal areas.

I personally don't know where else to put it. But there's no way it's acceptable in /s, /m, or /f from what I've been taught about how to work things. If Nadia says otherwise, that's fine. But I work on what I currently know and only deviate when told to do so.

basically they want to put a cub board in without actually calling it that. "childhood memories" is just a way of dancing around the issue.

I wish. But no. The cub stuff in /ah/ is much, much better. I wouldn't mind consolidating, though.

wrong as well. i think i've written it a few times now, but: we wanted to create a board where sonic material would fit. in the process of doing so we also found a solution that allows a number of other subjects, while also keeping the normal boards "cleaner".

I always thought the "Childhood Memories" board was the one you go to when you want to feel shocked at the little, innocent things you watched or played with be turned into pron.  Animal Crossing porn IS shocking, after all.
