Not anti-fur, anti-gay!

Why is it that every single attack I've seen on fchan focuses only on the /m/ board? Easy... This isn't furry bashing, it's gay bashing in disguise! How come you never see three solid pages of spam on /s/? Or these people who laugh at the various fetishes of furry? How come they don't attack /ah/, land of the furry fetishes?

It's always attacks against the gays...

Is it? There's someone trolling /m/ right now. I checked all the other boards and see nothing.

shii at 4 May 2006: 20:08

oh, you mean attacks *within* fchan. well /m/ is by far the popular board so I guess it might attract some trolls. nobody's going to say "geez this is perverted" on /ah/ because that's beyond obvious.

>>4 Honestly, none of the attacks make any sense and seem rather random in content... I'm just getting tired of "my" part of fchan taking most of the hits...

I don't like M/M or bi stuff, so I stay away from /m/. Why can't others just do that?

TheScythe at 4 May 2006: 21:46

Well, if you don't like furs, and you don't like gays... why not just kill two birds with one stone?

You could say, it's efficent trolling.

I doubt they go there for the subject matter...

Look on the left side:
[11524] /f/ (Female)
[1104] /m/ (Male)
[1870] /h/ (Herm)
[4262] /s/ (Straight)
[625] /tent/ (Tentacles)
[6115] /a/ (Alternative)
[11010] /ah/ (Alt(hard))
[3114] /c/ (Clean)
etc.
It doesn't look like /m/ is the most popular. But it's kind of hard to call someone a "fag" on boards with straight pictures, so /m/ fits the insults. Or maybe they feel /m/ has the most drama queens. Or perhaps it's just like >>1 said, they get the added "bonus" of attacking gays.

Just so you know, the /m/ board was wiped in a way the other weren't.  It wiped the total posts made as well, more of a complete nuke.  /m/ used to have more total posts than even /ah/.

I don't really care, honestly. I'm pretty much gay(I say "pretty much" because I am turned by a few females, but I'm attracted to far more males). As long as I'm not physically threatened(this being impossible over the interweb) they can say whatever they want, because I know the people who actually know me don't care, and they're the only ones whose opinions matter to me.

If there's some insecure dumbass who bashes someone for being openly gay, I would have to question if he is truely straight or afraid of feelings inside of him, which makes him so paranoid about gays, y'know?

Arguing on the internet is like running the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.

Overusing internet catchphases to make a point is even more retarded than trying to trying to watch the Special Olympics.

it makes it more rare, and we're talking net flame war here, don't let yourself become that stupid. If you don't want to make yourself a target, just ignore small stuff on the net and move on, a big whiney furry reaction is what they're after anyway

You obviously aren't paying very close attention to all the other boards. A lot of the other boards do end up getting spam posts. /f gets them and so does /s. I'm one of the people always cleaning it up, so I know this for a fact.

However, it is true that /m sometimes gets more spam than other boards. I think that it's mostly due to the belief which states that the fandom is mostly made up of gay males that are offended extremely easily. Gay furs are seen as an easy target, so it's only natural they will receive the most attention.

And to be honest, posts like this don't help. When the spammers see this, and see someone complaining about "gay bashing" or "furry bashing," it just tells them they have won. Not because they are serious and not because they're even homophobic, but just because they get a kick out of seeing people whine about something that, in all truth, is not at all serious and is actually pretty harmless and stupid. And it just makes them want to do it more.

I thought by now that more people would have figured this out.

Tell that to the rest of the internet population who get off on talking shit, using a thesaurus and waiting for the other guy's comback and then switching the power button off when they lose.

Raven hit it, the people attacking assume the whole fandom is based off /M and people bitching makes it seem like that.

Gay furs as an easy target,

M seems to complain the most about anything, and I guess since every attack ends up starting a whole gay/furry bashing discussion thread they end up winning..

Dont let the terrorists win.

I'm nto trying to sound nasty here, but many gay furries are the most over-senstive, thin-skinned folks of the fandom, and are a pressure cooker of angst and drama just waiting to explode on the first hint of 'fursicution'. Its like a constant state of victimhood that gives the entire group a bad image... that and the fursuiters in bondage gear carrying thier plushie fuck-toy with them in public

Remember, 5% of the gay furs make 95% of the noise, hence 95% of the gay furs get the flak.

Same as an election. It doesn't matter who votes for whom, the richest 2% control everything anyway.
