God, one of my co-workers asks me this nearly every month.

Except it only really makes sense as a clone, because if you met yourself in an alternate universe, I'm pretty sure that time itself would implode or something

Neither. For one simple reason.. Being from an alternate Universe/cloned/Bilocated/Mimiced it is NOT you. YOU cannot exist one more than one plain. They may look, smell, think, and even act like you, but they are NOT you. They would exist as an individual on thier own terms alot like you exist on yours. They do not share your life force, they do not share your immortal spirit. They would be mere look-a-likes and nothing more. An alternate reality version would be no different than a clone. A copy of your image and most likely nothing more than that. It would not be Incest because you have no relation to that other version. They are not family or even distant relation. It would be Masturbation only if intercourse and oral are not involved.

Hmm..eh why not.

Here are the simple questions..is this person in another universe a close enough duplicate genewise to be considered, at the least, your cousin?  If not...then its obviously just fooling around with someone else, no matter how alike the two of you think.

Now once their geneology hits around the area that they are close enough a match to be, say, your brother or sister.  Then you hit into incest.

As for masturbation?  That would actually require you to occupy both bodies/minds at once..so that it actually is you screwing yourself, heh.  I would probably rule that if you split yourself..screwed your splits together..then came back together, with memories of both..that is probably masterbation as well.

Personally, I'm with >>6 on the whole issue.  I would consider it two or multi-person sex (depending on the number), and a type I would much prefer, for who knows how I work better than me?  Outside of that though, having more clones or whatever of me on this Earth...well, the world is doing a good job existing right now.  I'll just leave it at that.  :P

From one point of view, multiple dimension alternates, be they people, places or things, are indeed one and the same. There's a big long explanation involving particles actually being strings rather than points, but the point is that you could say that alternate versions are but aspects of one entity.

Just because I'm drunk and I feel like it, let's look at it from the characters' perspective for a moment.  How would you feel about being propositioned by what, in all intents and purposes, is the Supreme Being--the intelligence that created you?  Would you have sex with God?  Could you?  I can't speak for all of your characters, obviously, but I personally would have a little problem with the whole situation.  It would be jarring enough to learn that He is a socially stunted, physically unappealing cretin, but to have His Wretched Holiness make a move on you would absolutely blow your mind.  If I were on X and had the Olsen twins in front of me butt-naked and 69ing, I could not get turned on at that point in time.
