Eitherway, there's two types of otherkin: those who see themselves as a being trapped in human form, and those who see that the human form is an illusion. When you figure out which catagory you are, the only thing that prevents you from getting in touch with your inner/true self is mental clarity and awareness. Drugs may remove inhibitations, but are certainly not necessary.

And frankly, beliefs like this is equally as mundane as (a) a God which can somehow impregnate a female with an aspect of himself while leaving her a virgin, (b) that giving a prayer and a sacrifice will bring rain, (c) that suffering is all in the mind, and doesn't truely exist, and etc.
