This particular section had me really confused.  At first I thought it was a place for digimon, lion King characters, even Star Fox.  I discovered recently this was not the case and I know many furs here will agree with me.

I for one used to watch all the kiddy shows and play all the games, and I just don't want to see them defiled its rough.

Now before I go ANY further please understand I am NOT critisising any of you who like this particular content.  I like worse things that toon believe me, I just have a hard time with it.

Upon discovering that the /toon section was not what I thought it was I took a look at it.  Little more than half of what is in there is drawn in a toony style!  So why when the subject of /toon is brought up in a thread does everyone go spastic?

Maybe a poll should be done or SOMEthing to see how many furs on fchan would prefer their childhood memories preserved in a place where we can CHOOSE to look.

Please admins I ask you read this through and think about it.  And to all you furs who agree raise you paws and see if we can turn this around!

The section looks like it was created for "destroying your childhood" I don't see how you could have "accidently" went there when the rules and warnings you should have read before entering the site. (and during the viewing the site)

The section you're asking to have created has already been made, and it's called /toon/

Just go to another section to avoid it.

"I discovered recently this was not the case and I know many furs here will agree with me."

You don't know that for sure. I for one have always known what /toon/ was for, and it states it very very clearly at the top of it.

I think it's a great section, honestly. And since I wear my big-boy pants I don't really mind watching my childhood memories expire in a sexual way.

I wish I could somehow address your concern, but in order to do that, I'd have to understand what the hell you just said. And unfortunately, with the way it's worded, I find myself at a loss.

The only thing I can make out is that you have an issue with the /toon board. And to that, I can safely say the following:

If you don't like /toon, don't go there. It's fine the way it is and no changes will be made to it any time soon.

You could seek out the original media, as they treat your beloved characters with all the respect commercial interests can muster. You might seek out fan sites where those characters are cherished and admired and their good name remains unsullied. You might seek out the offerings of the purveyors of licensed goods, as they are likely under contract to respect the good name and innocence of your treasured characters.

However, Buckaroo, here on Fchan Rule #34 is in full effect. It's right on the label.

/toon/ is for toony characters. Bugs Bunny, Lion King, Sonic -- simple-formula drawn characters lacking depth. Slapstick. /toon/ can have mature cartoon characters posted to it, but it is preferred that these characters be placed in their respective boards.

Defiled? Now there's a loaded word to use.
I'd personally say "enchanted". I can't be the only one who thought about those things when I was a kid. :P

Oh yeah, good catch. "Defiled" is a word some guy used to describe a Wargreymon (hawt, adult, muscled, studly Digimon) thread in /m/ earlier today. That guy was specifically complaining that he didn't want to see Wargreymon "defiled", and was asking why he wasn't posted to /toon/.

I wonder if that guy could be the same guy who started this post? The way he structures his sentences and thoughts together are similar.

10Report (sage)

I would understand the usage of that word if there were /ah/ material in /toon/. There isn't, as far as I can see.

If those images somehow defile your childhood, then I must conclude that you're suffering from a lot of sexuality-related angst. That's not healthy. Regular sex is simple and pure - it does not defile anything.

Congratulations, you have now successfully become a living parody.

I didn't accidentally go there.  I was in the /m/ section and I saw Lion King and Digimon threads.  I purposely went to the /toon/ section to see what it was for if the mods weren't doing anything about it.  When I went in there I saw not much less then half of the pictures even related to anything /toon/ The very first thread I saw a few very well drawn human pictures in the thread.  Not only was it not toon it wasn't even furry!  (and before you jump all over that, I have no problem with human porn, I go to 4chan as well as fchan, I'm just using it as the fact itself)

Did you guys even read what I said. -_-' I WANT the section there, but I want the toons to go into it for a change.

The rest of you didn't even say anything useful...just repeated everyone else.

Maybe if you wrote things in a way that made sense, it would be a lot easier for us to read your posts.

Everything else I said stands. The boards and content are fine, otherwise they wouldn't be allowed. The only conclusion I can come to is that you just don't understand how things work here.

>>12 Hotter Otter, sorry to jump in here, but your original message was pretty confusing, and since you seemed to be wanting to rally people to a cause with regard to changing the board structure, the confusion sort of makes a mess. I read over everything that was said, and I am trying to understand what your point was. Correct me if I am wrong, but are you saying that basically you'd like for characters from cartoons to be placed into the Toon category, exclusively, for the sake of making sure someone doesn't stumble across a character from their childhood cartoon viewing while browsing the other threads? That seems to be what this was about, though I may be wrong.

No offense, but if that's what you're saying, I do have to say that seems a bit silly. Unless I am mistaken, Toon was created as a focus for toony-style artwork to allow people to find what they are looking for easier when they're hunting up cartoon porn, not to somehow make sure cartoon characters never make it into the other categories. The fact that there are 7 porn categories and 1 Clean should give a clue as to why trying to protect childhood memories on here is a bit, err... Out of theme. Again, no offense intended.

I do have to admit that some of the threads in /toon/ make even me wonder if they're on-topic for fchan.

For example, I thought that Nightcrawler is just a human mutant who happens to look like a demon. If his design is actually based on some animal, then that's news to me - and I've read Marvel comics for years. ...and so on. I'm a xenophile so I like that sort of stuff, but I'm not quite sure if they count as furries.

Yeah, that's something I've noticed a lot. And you're right, Nightcrawler of course isn't an animal. In fact, isn't he the son of Mystique? Even though they turned her into a lizard thing in the live action movies, in the comic, she sure wasn't an animal. Except maybe in bed. Rowr!

I've been here for over a year...I know how the board works thank-you. -_-'

>>14 I apreciate your post because you are one of the first to not go nuts on me.  You're right by what my intentions are.  Why can't they both go into toon?  /a/ and /ah/ have lots of combinations.  I just feel as if it is organising a bit more.

As for Nightcrawler, yeah he's the son of Mystique, the demon was a count (also a mutant and I can't remember his name), sold him into the slavery of a blackwitch in the circus, then the ircus ran out of business and he feld before they could sell him again.  He wasn't nearly as goody-tooshoo in the comic, the movie made his seem like a pansy. (and yes, I am a nerd)

Well since you and Xeno has lashed me, then this is the end of that...You're both WAY too uptight...I don't know if its because you have too many douchebags pestering youor not...but you guys need to chill right out.

Eh, don't let the mods get to you.  They have to deal with stuff like this a lot so it must get very vexing.

But, it seems like your problem is the fact that television/etc. characters are allowed outside of /toon/.  The couple of instances you directly cited are allowed because the characters are drawn in an anthromorphic style that isn't really toony (I think, somebody correct me if I'm wrong).

/toon/ also isn't just for toony characters, it's for non-morphs as well.  There's actually a link at the top of the /toon/ page that gives a pretty good description of what is allowed and what isn't. (http://fchan.hentaiplanet.net/read.php/faq/1163274544)

Nobody likes to get squicked (or whatever the proper internet slang for "seeing porn you don't want to see" is, but fchan does a good job of giving you a lot of ways to avoid it.  I suggest you use the "collapsable threads" option in the little black box in the top corner so all the threads collapse and you don't have to see what's in them unless you actually open the thread.  That way you won't accidently see stuff. ^^

21Report

That's correct. The Digimon he was complaining about in /m/ was a full grown adult character drawn in a very non-toony style. The Lion King thread in /m/ was for Furronica-versions only. Furronica is an artist who is known for drawing Lion King characters in a non-toony style.

Frankly, I personally don't care for Lion King at all, just like I also do not at all care for the crossdressing males thread in /m/. I also don't really like the "chubby" thread in /m/ either.

(*Shifts in his chair to address the OP*)

But you know what, Hotter Otter? I don't make a big deal out of it. I don't burst into other people's houses and claim what they do or like defiles that which they enjoy, when I had the clear and present and EASIER option to stay out of their world and not be offended -- or at least remaining POLITE and RESPECTFUL of other people's tastes when in their realm.

If I'm in a fancy restaurant, or even a cheap burger joint, and I don't like sushi and lobster, or even pickles on my burger, I don't tell others ordering such next to me, "What you like to consume defiles the act of eating." I don't complain to the chef, or the 20-something fast-food manager and demand that they rewrite the menu to only include the things I want.

You entered /M/ of your own volition -- and everyone on FCHAN knows that "/M/" here represents the golden arches of anthro male homosexuality. There are many things on the menu that board has to offer, though no one is compelled to order more than they wish. That said, you may see people enjoying in the various booths and stalls of different threads that which you never would -- just like any other board on FCHAN.

Deal with it; you are not being subjected to it beyond how much you choose to involve yourself. The rules here at FCHAN state to: 0. "Be polite and civil" (this is because we are all here for the same reason, more or less), 2. This rule lists all of the content of the different boards so you don't go somewhere you don't want to and know what's allowed for each board, 7. "Be nice to mods and don't cause drama", 8. "Stay up to date" (meaning, it's your responsibility to read the rules and know when they change).

Therefore, if you are terminally unable to separate a hot, mature adult, muscled mandragon from a TV show, then don't make things miserable for those who are capable of placing their orders in the affirmative with the inflammatory "this character is defiled by this thread" commentary. Do not come to /dis/ with the idea of demanding that a public image board (for drawn pornography, nonetheless) reform itself personalized to your specific tastes. Your attempt to shape a very broad image board to only accept, in very specific subcategories, what is sexually desirable for you is not appreciated by many more who do not share your personal dislikes.

All this talk of changing things and tolerating things and all is missing an important issue we REALLY need to address, and that's the possible health risks of FChan. As for Lion King...that is ALL incest unless its Simba and Nala or other crosses there.  Scar and Mufasa, Mufasa and Simba...they're all brothers, sons and fathers...weird how Xeno rammed some other guy's ass with a really thick pole when he mentioned it.

As for the comic, Raven, you were very rude, I didn't flip out.  I was telling you to relax...I believe _you_ flipped out.

And again I feel the need to repeat myself here since I wasn't understood at time.  I understand nothing will be changed, I no longer care enough to bring it up again (unless the possibility of a change comes up).

You flipped out enough to start this discussion to begin with, whereas most of us, upon seeing something we don't want to, might shrug our shoulders and keep on keepin' on.

You flipped out enough to tell the MODS to chill out, and telling them they're uptight and rude.

Not to mention you kept on replying, where you could've just let it drop. So if you don't think you've flipped out, at all, I call foul.

...so, I'd say: if seeing such pics pisses you off, maybe you should get your porn from somewhere else.
