Are Ogre's furries?

Well in the rules at the bottom there is a sentence which reads that Ogre's are not allowed to be posted. Now I think this rule is a bit far-fetched...we allow dragons, and this whole board is based about anthropomorphic creatures who can be classified as humanoids. Now, Ogre's may not be based on any specific creature, however THEY ARE humanoids. So, how come an ogre cannot be posted on here, but other humanoids can be?

*Jumps ontop of the topic*

In before the inevitable banning of dragons after 200+ posts of arguments and drama!

I thought the subject here is anthropomorphic animals, whether based upon real or mythical animals. What animal, real or mythical is an ogre based upon?

what animal, real or mythical, is a dragon based off of? Maybe birds, or maybe reptiles, but ogre's are based off of a number of possible animals.

First off, toads - ogre's are green, they have slimy skin similar to toads. They are considered gross and repugnant by many, similar as toads have served in many mythologies and cultural taboo's.

There's also some possibilities of pigs - many ogre's have pig-like snouts, or have been represented that way, and have teeth similar to those of boars...

I don't think that you realy need an example of mythical dragons, do you? Just look only for a minute at towers in Japan (and China) that have holes in it so (earth) dragons can fly through ... Mythical enough? ;)

haha
let's look at other things from mythology okay?
explain how zeus's temple is an exact geometric rectangle...a feat we've never been able to accomplish with our modern day tools. That's gotta tell you something about how blessed the greeks were right?
but then we make fun of them and there gods and label them as fairy tales....

plus what does your post (or mine really) have to do with ogre's being furries? xD?

My post states that a dragon has mythical background. Perhaps you should post something like that for an ogre (if you can).

No ogres. If you want them, go watch Shrek. Or maybe risk a beat down at 4chan. But if it's not OBVIOUSLY based on an animal, then it may not be posted alone. If it's with something that is a "furry," fine.

I'm not even going to bother debating this with anyone, as I've had enough of that. This is just the way it has been and the way it's going to stay.
