Confused

Alright, I'm having troubles on how to put this, but here goes nothing (sorry about clarity/anything else, this is mainly jumbled thoughts).

What does it mean if I have sexual/mental attraction to human girls, however I have strong attraction towards the *male* furries?
Mainly foxes/wolves, but that's not the point.

Does this mean I'm bi-sexual?

I'm not attracted to human males in anyway, sexually or mentally (as in comfort or romance)... however, it's a different story with furries.

I still find female furries attractive, but not near as much.
Infact, I hardly find them attractive, now that I think about it...

Sorry if none of this makes sense, I've just been confused about this for a while, and I don't know who else to ask..

Well, at least it's good to know I'm not the only one. :P

I didn't expect me to be, but whatever. :P

Narcissicism (damn that's hard to spell), in the Freudian sense.

In male furries you see yourself or how you really wish yourself to be, to some degree.  What you are most responsive to is a projection of yourself, your inner self.

It means you are straight but if you were somehow transformed into a furry and thrust into a 2D world you'd be bisexual.

Look, your sexuality is a complex thing, you could be attracted to male furries for a variety of reasons none of which mean you are bisexual. If you aren't attracted to human males in any way whatsoever it probably means you prefer the feminine aspect of the sexuality spectrum thus are straight. However your attraction to male furries(are they the feminine kind of masculine?) could mean under the right circumstances you MIGHT be attracted to a human male.

Ask yourself this, if a human male had feminine traits and didn't have any of the aspects you are currently unattracted to would you consider having a relationship with him? If the answer is yes you are bisexual but with maybe a .000000001% chance of finding a guy you'd actually be interested in. Personally I find male furries attractive as well as a lot of yaoi because of aesthetics but I have probably only seen a handful of guys that fit exact criteria to where I would consider being with them.

Wow, this really fits...

Thinking about it, it does make sense...
With the males, I DO more 'see myself as them' and everything.

>>5
lol, I wish I could transform into a furry.
They are neither feminine nor masculine, but kinda in-between.
For example, my all time favorite furry picture ever (out of male and female) would be--
http://fchan.me/c/res/17791.html#i17791
(please say this link works)

I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not, but the *main* (emphasis on main, which means not only lol. :P) part that attracts me to this particular wolf is his face. I mean, the facial expression of him, the over all feel of the picture.. and the glasses just make me...
I don't know how it makes me feel.
It makes me feel.. happy? I'm not sure. I'm just in love with this wolf. I would die to be him.

And no, I wouldn't consider a relationship with him... I mean, it's a (human) guy... however, strap a tail on him....
lol ;)

Sorry more to add about the wolf.

Just look at his facial expression, seriously. The overall playfullness, it just makes me feel warm inside.

----

However, this isn't the only thing I'm concerned about, is pictures like him.

I also find this particular picture-
http://fchan.me/m/res/51856.html#51866
Very attractive.
I do however, (now that it was mentioned by >>4) seem to... well, not see myself 'as them' but...
I don't know.

It's things like these that are just confusing me left and right, and I don't know what to think.

(2nd poster here)

I like that pic very much too, the second one with the fox, that is.

Personally, I'm somewhat fond of this seasoned fella...
http://fchan.me/m/res/43245.html#45285

I'm usually a 100% cat person, but for some reason these foxes... ggggrrrrrrblrlrllblrllblr... and you're right, the expressions play a huge part here too... dunno...

I don't know man, it's fucked up, I just don't know... I've always been straight, but here I find myself commenting on foxy (so to speak) males which I can't help but imagine myself being with (I guess that's a difference there :\).

DAMN YOU, FURRIES, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?!?!

I'm kinda like this, not quite to the point where I prefer males in anthro over females, but I'm starting to drop /m pics into my HDD. From here or elsewhere. --Started that almost a year ago. It sometimes freaks me out too, makes me feel like I'm losing it.

Why? I'm 100% straight. The thought of shacking up with another guy irl kinda irks me... Just cannot see that happening, at all.

If it were anything else, I don't think I would have ever felt that way either. Why would furry do this?

I feel weird posting this.. even typing it is like talking out loud--makes me nervous. I'm kinda not in my head right now. Sleep deprivation can gives you one hell of a perspective skew sometimes.

lol, I would say: MY WORLD IS CHANGING AND I DON'T LIKE IT!!!! (actually I'm undecided on this one)

Just a phase?

You're where I was many years ago, and where I still visit regularly.  Don't fret about it.

I'm still pretty much completely straight. The mental image of my actually swapping spit with another guy in reality is unsettling and is accompanied by a slight feeling of upset in my stomach (note to gay and bi people: nothing personal intended, it's just not my personal cup of tea, is all).

However, every now and then, an image comes along with a very male furry guy (or two, sometimes more, very male furry guys going at it) and- no upset stomach, that's for sure.

The same thing happens a lot on the MUCKs I visit.

I put it down to my imagination liking to travel to exotic places I'd never visit in real life and it bringing my hormones along for the ride. I advice you enjoy the scenery, but try to avoid drinking the water.

lol

This is has become an interesting topic. I'm glad I started it now. At first I was debating whether I really wanted to or not, but so far it's been a good idea.

It DOES freak you out, I feel confused about _why_ I feel like this, and it's scary sometimes.
I mean, now that I opened up to the idea, and you guys gave 'support' and I know it's not just me, I'm a little more open to the idea, you know?

What IS it about Furry that causes this? I'm not saying it *always* causes it, but so far we have 3-4 people all agreeing about the same thing.
We're straight in real life, but when it comes to furry we're attracted to the males as well.

I wasn't in my head either when I posted the first time, pretty sure it was about midnight my time. Either way, now I'm thinking straight, and nothing's changed.

I still feel 'weird' saying/tying this as well.

"Sleep deprivation can gives you one hell of a perspective skew sometimes."
As it just turned out, that can be a good thing (in a lot of ways).

"MY WORLD IS CHANGING AND I DON'T LIKE IT!!! (actually I'm undecided on this one)"
At first, I felt the same way (I don't like it), however up to about a month ago, I've become 'undecided' about this as well.
More recently even, I'm starting to 'accept' this idea. Err, accept isn't really it, but I 'don't mind it' as much.

Something like that.

Don't worry about what label to use, don't try not to like something you do, don't try to be something you're not, don't lie to yourself about who you are, don't try to stop your mind from changing. The only people whose opinion of you matters are you and the people whose opinion you value.

I'd have been in the straight-male-likes-/m/ category a year ago. I've stopped explicitly calling myself straight, but I'm still not into human males. I just be what I am and the words be damned because the words are meant to serve the concepts, not the other way around.

This is a very common thing among furries, and only you can answer the question of what it means for yourself.

I'll discover it eventually I'm sure.

As for now, I'm comfortable where I'm at, and at the pace it's going. Openly talking about it really helped get it off my chest, and helps make it easier to accept.

Thank you everybody.

Heh, that's pretty much exactly what what I was thinking (although probably worded nicer).

Anyway it's kind of comforting to know this is common, it makes me feel slightly more normal. Although it's not like I had a problem with it before reading this. You are what you are regardless of what you want to be. Lying to yourself is pointless, right?

It won't change anything, so may as well go with it eh?
