I was just wondering, is there any kind of vetting/screening of which banners uploaded to /b/ get to be displayed at the top of fchan's pages?
I ask because some of the banners are seriously, *seriously* lame. Many feature subjects not furry at all but with "fchan" substituted instead of certain words to make them relavent. A *lot* of banners are poorly compressed with illegible MSPaint fonts.
These banners prevent the decent ones from being displayed often and can make fchan look cheap, which is a shame.

i hear you guy, but i think there is some system to that but maybnot. I once posted one of those lame banners myself. It sayed "bee a shool girl satisfaction gauranteed and had a cat girl given you the finger" but it got deleted. i thought it was lame as well. As for that thing your askin, there should be.

Currently we don't have much of a system. The basic line is: The banner should have at least some redeeming value and it should be suitable as representing fchan either in a positive or tongue-in-cheek manner.

If you think a banner sucks, do the following: Write a bit of constructive feedback that tells the original poster how to do better, which also tells the mods why you think it sucks. Then either come onto irc and poke one of us or just report it. :)
