Ok, I've just braced my furry fandom head on these last two months. Every one around me is ok with it (took my parents awhile though) and I've started wearing my homemade tail a lot more. The question on my mind is do any of you wear signs of your furdom out in public or is it just around the house kinda thing??

I'd drop dead before doing anything remotely like what you describe. I look at the porn and read the fiction, and enjoy some of the animation, and that's where it ends for me.

>>1 People like you are why furries are so hated. You took a style of character and corrupted it into something very weird. Why do you feel the need to make everyone around you have to "accept" you for a certain type of art that you like? Furry is not a lifestyle. If it is, that's just pathetic.

Tails would be a bit weird (especially since all the tails I've seen were attached to buttplugs under clothing...), but I wear furry t-shirts, bumperstickers, etc. It's no different than promoting a subculture or a style of music or whatever that you like in the same sorts of ways. I also have mah tiger-ears, but I only wear those around the house. ^^ Or around friends sometimes

Depends on the band. Depends on the picture. And depends on who you ask.

Grah! I hate it when people do what they think is fun! Why can't people learn to conform to my standards of what does and does not constitute a lifestyle, dammit?

>>20 I appreciate the compliment, but as I've said before: furry doesn't just 'have' cancer; it IS cancer. Its reputation is irretrievable and the focus will never be on anything more than ever-increasingly-disturbing porn. Sure, you might find a few good pieces of art and even some fiction every now and then, but these things are already vanishingly rare and will continue to become more so.

Wow, you have to be a fool if you thrust knowledge of your bizarre sexual fetish onto others, especially your parents. What if your parents liked to piss on each other? To most people that's not quite as weird as being attracted to pictures of furry. Would you want your parents advertising this? Hell no, it's tmi.
