Since people seem not to be informed:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PROTECT_Act_of_2003

There are current cases that are challenging this law, but it's still law until it's overturned by a court.

It prohibits ownership, distribution, etc etc etc of anything that:
"(2)(A) depicts an image that is, or appears to be, of a minor engaging in graphic bestiality, sadistic or masochistic abuse, or sexual intercourse, including genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex;"

Note that it says "OR APPEARS TO BE". That means drawings.

This is why fchan prohibits cub pics.

If you don't like this, call up your congresspeople.

Y'know, the only one who knows what's really behind all of this here is Nadia, and she's already explained it to death.

So, like, please stop already. It's annoying as hell to have to deal with this in three threads at once.

if a law tells you one day it's illegal to draw anthro characters, from tame nudity to weirdest forms of porn, because it's relating to bestiality; would you obey that law? if it insists into your own privacy ; would you throw all your existing drawings in a shredder to comply with that law?

imo, you are weak if you kneel before a law against art.

Actually the law in question convicts you based on "obscenity" so it's not long until other forms of pornography will become illegal. Guro is next up. Then I figure rape, monster/furry stuff and eventually all that will be allowed is tasteful nudes of human females and males similar to the 1950's.

>>4 Actually the opposite has been happening. Since 1950's the interpretation of the obscenity law has become more and more liberal. It's because there's no actual definition for what is considered "obscene". In the words of one supreme court justice "I don't know what it is, but I'll know it when I see it".
