Something very strange is going on here

1. I post an image (DNP = check, Rules = check)
2. A day goes by.
3. My image is gone. Somebody ELSE has now posted the same image I posted.

And this is not the first time this happened. I'm getting the nagging feeling that sometimes, images get removed so other people can sorta 'claim credit' for them being uploaded, which makes no sense, but I cannot come up with another explanation.

You shouldn't expect anything else from a place where free speech is censored. Just saying.

Um. You DO know that constitutional rights have no bearing on a website that you don't own. Just saying.

Unless you can actually give me a specific example and maybe reproduce it, as well as tell me about it in IRC WHILE it happens, i can't do shit. The info you've given me is about as useful as a bunch of tea leaves and anything i could extract from that info is about as useful as me reading said leaves.

Also, loling at the people going "mod conspiracy!". As if any of us give a shit who gets "kudos" for posting shittily drawn lion king porn.

Chances are, I won't be there "as it happens", 'cause I'm no watchdog. But let me say: I'm not blaming "The Mods", generally. I find that pretty hard to believe conspiracies. Simply stated what it "looks like" and that it still doesn't make much sense when you think about it.

But whoever removed the image in the first place must've had the power to do that. Obviously. ;)

Umm, I hate to be a pessimist, but I have to point this out:

You...actually...CARE...about posting a picture before someone else does??? Is there really any credit given to a person, even if he posts that never before seen pic drawn by Adam Wan? It's my understanding that as long as these people get what they want, and remain anonymous, they don't care who got it, or what trouble they went through to get it.

Whoah, what? Moderators don't like the very websites that they take care of? Or is it just the cynicism?

No, it's the first one.

What Xenofur said was that nobody really cares who posts what, and when. He didn't say he doesn't like the site.

If you mean me, then yeah, a little. You don't have to understand it, but it feels good to be the first to give people something they like. Besides, it sure would help keeping threads mostly free too much of the 'same old' if more people tried to deliver some fresh goodies.

I suppose I do understand the pride of providing something new... But I just don't see the feeling as being anything substantial.

It's kinda akin to the warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you do IRL charity. A kind of satisfaction knowing that you're giving back to the website on whose teat you've suckled for much of your furry life, you know?

Besides, I'm sure that some people get off on that warm fuzzy feeling. You never know.

Wait, what? That is probably the gayest thing I've ever read on the entire internet.

Must be the admins and mods.  Go talk to them.
