Id do it. (being that id be a Black anthro wolf) if people dont like it they will get used to it. the first yiff i saw freaked me out ......then 1 mnute later i was used to it and well i wont go into detail bout what i did....  :/

i am also interested in how would it be done? i have actually spent some time on the designs for a robotic tail at the least (how will it be controlled? IF they can make a rat/ R/C car cyborg(they have) then they will figure something out!) .... bring about the thought that maybe you could do temporary detachable things like say a flat metal port on the tail bone that wouldn't interfere with human clothing, activities, etc. that you could lock robotic tail onto (with either fake or real hair on a sort of life support...

if you took the full body genetic alteration route then you have to have your DNA altered in one cell then that cell would be used to make a clone of you (as a furry) after which they would transfer you memories.(the moral problem with this is if you copied the memories then the original you would experience death (ITS LITERALLY SUICIDE, only a furry copy of you would live on)). a transfer of the actual brain would be needed to avoid this. you cant just surgically alter yourself like plastic surgery cause there would be to much that your body would reject and you would look weird and get sick with a rotting tail snout and ears etc. hanging off you. plus a change in DNA doesn't spread throughout the body like it does in the cartoons. it would have to start at the source (fertilized egg in the womb)
