My brothers had a dog when we were little but I never really considered it mine because I just don't like animals. I couldn't live with a pet again. It sometimes feels like someone into furry stuff could really understand and accept, even participate in, some of my interests. But then it seems like every one who likes furry also wants pets, and I could never marry someone who needed like a cat or three. I'd always feel like everything was dirty and not in a good way.

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people within the fandom who do not absolutely adore animals.

They're ok, I guess. Cats are cool. I really don't think of these two as being related despite how closely related they really are.

dogs are pretty cool and when i was growing up i had two at a time usually but when i moved away i realized its pretty cool not having animals and now i think i wouldnt want one again.

I wouldn't be surprised if among furries there were a slightly larger number of pet owners, but it certainly isn't some kind of requirement to being a furry.>>1 though in that cleanliness needs to be important, for both human and pet health alike.
