Hello to all,
It has been a few years now that I have been following along with the furry fandom now, drawing many inspirations in a few of a my literary works from a few aspects that I have found. But one thing that I have also noticed (for a long time now) is that a major character is always human. Even when I think of myself I can never imagine myself as a furry. My closest friends could be furries, the whole world except me could be populated by furries, but not me, even a transformation between a human and a furry body would be an arduous and sometimes painful process if the character did not already take drastic measures to resist such changes.
Given my views and my lack of sexual material in my literature, should I be considered a furry or should I be considered an artist who adopts "furry elements" into their work? And if I am am an artist who adopts such elements, does that make me a poseur?
I know it seems like such a common and silly question, but I've been having some issues with my persona identity and I would appreciate some help with clearing it up.

It's first and foremost an interest in anthropomorphic animals. Whether that means adopting a fursona or not is up to the person. The sexual aspect is debatable, but personally I think it's just a bonus. The main aspect for me is the kick ass art. I'm an artist my self (aspiring) and I'm never gonna draw porn. Do I like the porn? Yes, but it doesn't dominate my furry-ness. The thing is, it's a label, if you don't want to apply it you don't have to, but if you want to, you certainly can.
